Salivary gland diseases: how can we help you?

We remove the salivary glands using magnifying glasses or a surgical microscope.
The parotid gland (glandula parotis) and the submandibular gland (glandula submandibularis) as well as the sublingual glands (glandula sublingualis) are located on both sides. Diseases of the parotid glands can be, for example, a benign or malignant swelling of the parotid gland or the submandibular salivary gland. Stones may also be present in the ducts under certain conditions. If the swelling is unclear or the inflammation keeps recurring, it may be necessary to remove the gland. It is advisable to perform the operation as an inpatient under anesthesia.
