Facial surgery and surgery for malignant skin lesions

Skin changes that are changing should be checked by a specialist.

Skin changes are often found on the face, as it is not uncommon for malignant skin changes to occur as a result of exposure to the sun. The diagnosis is then made in close cooperation with the dermatologists. If a malignant skin tumor is present, it should be removed. The special requirements of the anatomy of the face and neck area must be professionally taken into account. Depending on the size and location of the defect, it is decided whether the operation will be performed under local or general anesthesia.
Many operations can be performed on an outpatient basis, but some are best treated on an inpatient basis. Depending on the size, location and type of defect, it is also advisable to provide you with an optimal surgical team. Close cooperation with dermatologists ensures that an optimal treatment concept is achieved for you.

Facial surgery and the surgical treatment of malignant skin changes are among our specialties. We carry out these procedures in our own Villa Eiche day clinic at Obergrundstrasse 108 in Lucerne. We have been performing all procedures at the Villa Eiche Day Clinic on an outpatient basis for around 10 years.

In this way, we took the “outpatient before inpatient” treatment concept desired by the Canton of Lucerne’s Department of Health to heart at an early stage and integrated it into our processes.
